K. TreadwayWe can’t wait to return! We spent 4 nights at Elk Falls Riverhouse in November, and it was truly a gem of a getaway. The home is a beautifully renovated 2-bedroom nestled right by the river—peaceful, private, and incredibly relaxing. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Every detail in the house was thoughtfully done, making it both stylish and super comfortable. Waking up to the sound of the river and enjoying coffee on the deck was pure bliss. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and just soak it all in. Jeanna and Erik, the hosts, were absolutely wonderful—friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. We honestly didn’t want to leave and are already looking forward to coming back. I highly recommend this special spot to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in nature with all the comforts of home.

We had a delightful stay for Valentine’s Day weekend. It’s a perfect place for a cozy, relaxing, and private stay in the mountains. So restful and peaceful–and Erik and Jeanna are tremendous hosts. Hospitality is in their blood! We loved our stay at the Riverhouse.

I wish there were more than five stars to rate. I would say six stars at minimum. The house had absolutely every amenity that you can imagine. Updated kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms made the stay comfortable. Best of all, was the serenity and peace that the property offers. It is about 30 minutes from Beech Mountain and 15 mins to town for groceries, etc. There is a local restaurant about 10 minutes away that offers a great breakfast. The host were amazing. Could not have asked for more.
